The countdown is on for the next Blog Challenge, and it’s the perfect way to kickstart your blog – especially now that it can be done in only THREE easy tasks…
If You’re Starting a Blog
You probably know by now that I think blogging is brilliant. It’s the most cost-effective way to supercharge your SEO, and your credibility with customers old, new and yet-to-come – so if you’ve got your own business website to boost, getting a blog going is definitely for you.
But from the planning to the publishing, it can be mystifying and feel like a minefield – and that’s before you even think about where you’ll find the time to write it, or delve into the Dark Art of SEO.
That’s when you need my Blog Challenge. Even if you’ve never blogged once in your life – for yourself, or for someone else – the challenge will take you from 0 to 60 in the space of one intro session, and just three easy tasks. When you’re done, you’ll have a blog plan for the next 12 months, and the confidence to plan, write and publish your first post.
If You’ve Got a Blog
And if you’ve already got a blog up and running, joining the Blog Challenge is a great way to breathe new life into it. New topic ideas, new energy for planning it, and setting a commitment to yourself to write it – always much easier when you’re doing it as part of a group than on your own!
So what’s different this time – and why is it three tasks instead of five?
Everyone’s busy. When you start a week-long Challenge, intentionare always good – but as you go through, it can lose momentum as your work ramps up in other areas – it’s happened to me too! So I decided to shorten the original format of the Blog Challenge that I’ve run in the past from five tasks to three, so that you get all same outcome – that 12 month blog plan, and the confidence to get started – without that week-long commitment.
But some elements will stay the same – including the Launch Masterclass to kick it all off…
The Launch Masterclass
The Blog Challenge begins with the online masterclass on the Monday morning.
I’ll explain why blogging is so good for any business, even if you don’t have your own website.
We’ll talk about planning your posts, and brand new content ideas that your readers will love. I’ll share some of the content planning and writing tricks I use when I’m writing for my clients, so you can apply them to your own blog.
We’ll cover how a blog can help to reduce the time you spend on business writing, from your newsletters to social media posts, and give your business comms a clear, consistent and professional image.
We’ll sweep away the misty mystery of SEO, and how to make your post’s SEO work its hardest for you once you’ve published.
Finally, you’ll get your first task, to complete that day if you can.
The Next Two Tasks
The next two mornings at 9:30am, I’ll do a short live video in the group to introduce that day’s task. Each one is really simple and can be done in 15 minutes. It’s ideal if you can do them on the day they are set, but it doesn’t matter if you can’t.
Both the intro and the tasks are recorded and emailed out to everyone who’s signed up, so don’t worry if you can’t make it – you’ll still have everything you need.
The Community
A huge part of the Challenge for many of my graduates is the private Facebook group. It’s our base for the Challenge, and it’s perfect for sharing the outcomes of your tasks, and for getting feedback and ideas from others. You can ask me questions in the morning lives, or post them in there at any time for the rest of each day.
Blog Challenge Fans
After the Challenge is finished, you’ll be invited to join my Content Cracked community – my free Facebook group where you can share your blog posts for more exposure, and get any support you may need as your blog develops. There are some members in there who started out on my very first Blog Challenge, back in January 2023!
I’ve had some fantastic feedback for the Blog Challenge in past, and I’d love you to jon us – whether you’re brand new to blogging, or just want to give your blog a new lease of life.
Register for your place on the Blog Challenge and get that plan for the next 12 months, a practical set of actions for getting it done – and a supported community of other bloggers to share it with. Sign up in the form below, and I’ll see you on 16 September!
