When I introduce myself as a copywriter, itโs pretty self-explanatory โ I write on behalf of other people, I love doing it and I’m delighted to be doing a lot of it. At the time of publishing this, Iโve got more regular blog and marketing email clients than Iโve ever had (brilliant), and itโs also my role in the fabulous female consultancy Iโm part of, Elite in a Week. But copywriting is not all I that do, because not everyone wants or needs someone else to do the writing for them. Sometimes what they need is some reassurance about the topics they’ve got, or some accountability for getting it done โ and I do that too. Validating the Plan
Having a plan each month is the very best way to make sure your marketing is going to get done โ your blog, email newsletter, social media or all three. Getting an outline plan for your business these days is much easier than it was a year or two ago, because you can plug all the requirements into your AI engine of choice, and it will present you with a whole list of things you may not have thought of. Thatโs brilliant, but it can also be overwhelming. I worked with a client this week whoโd done exactly that โ the engine told her all the ideal clients she needs to appeal to, and all the many messages she needs to get across in her posts to reach them. Every time she tried refining what she asked it to do, it was the same โ great info that all felt useful, but she couldnโt see the wood for the trees, or figure out what was actually going to be useful and interesting for her audience.
So we sat down, discussed who she wants to reach and for what reason. Then we went through the AI-generated plans and used lots of the inspiration in there to plot a year of blog posts that felt carefully chosen, with a clear sense of strategy and reason behind them, that was all designed to meet the goals she had in mind. She now knows what message and purpose should sit behind each one, and it all feels much more manageable and intentional. The rest of her marketing strategy โ emails, social media, networking โ can fall into place underneath.
We spend an hour together (in person or online) to cut through the volume of ideas and fog of overwhelm, and put some real and logical thought into what youโre planning to say each month. It makes such a huge difference to how you can then move onto the writing and sharing of that content.

Plan Out an Important Piece
Print media is still a great way to get your business out there, and if you decide to go for it, it can be a great investment โ and itโs one youโll want to get right. Printed words have a much stronger permanence to them than online, and with the size of investment youโre making, youโll want to get the message just right for the people youโre hoping to reach. Again, AI can be a great place to start for that, but many of my clients want the reassurance that itโs really going to hit the right notes.
Business Awards and grants applications are another piece of work that needs to be just right, and spot-on for your unique business and situation. AI can only go so far towards helping you here, and when youโre that close to it and it means so much, having an expert look it all over for you to give you an honest appraisal of how itโs coming across can be very welcome.
